4 HOW DOES A COMPANY CONDUCT A SURCON CUSTOM EMPLOYEE OPINION SURVEY?

The custom survey process includes the following steps:

  1. Planning: We meet with management to determine your unique needs and how the survey can best meet these needs.
  2. Interviewing: We interview a representative sample of employees and managers to help determine the concerns of the major groups and unique cultural attributes of the company that need to be addressed in the questionnaire.
  3. Questionnaire Design: A questionnaire is designed specifically for your employees.
  4. Survey Administration: We administer the survey to employees electronically via the Internet/intranet, in group sessions on site or individually through the mail to ensure confidentiality of responses.
  5. Survey Analysis and Report: A detailed report is prepared pinpointing company strengths and weaknesses as they relate to profit improvements. Results from the survey are fed back to the client electronically through our reporting software medas.

7 CAN A SURCON CUSTOM EMPLOYEE SURVEY BE CONDUCTED OVER THE INTERNET?

Surcon employee opinion surveys can be administered electronically over the Internet or they can be administered by paper and pencil.

8 HOW CONFIDENTIAL IS THE SURCON CUSTOM EMPLOYEE SURVEY?

There are several techniques that we use to ensure employee confidentiality:

  1. The surveys are completed by your employees anonymously.
  2. All surveys are sent to Surcon International for processing. No surveys are sent back to the company; only aggregated information in reports are sent to you.
  3. Departments and groups of less than five employees will not be analyzed separately.

9 HOW WILL THE RESULTS OF MY SURVEY BE PRESENTED TO ME?

After the results have been calculated, you will receive:

  1. A report showing the opinions of your employees on all the categories measured in the survey as well as each item within the survey. Click here to view a sample report:

  2. A summary of your company's unique strengths and weaknesses from which you can develop an action list for change.
  3. A comparison to an Industry Norm (if available).
  4. The option to have your survey data broken out and analyzed by department, level, location or any demographic you feel is appropriate to your company.
  5. A manual to assist you in the administration of your survey.
  6. A manual to assist you in the interpretation of your survey data and feedback to your employees. This manual will provide you with a guide for making change in the organization that best fits your particular culture and profit level which is desired.

1 CAN I GET A STANDARDIZED SURVEY INSTEAD OF A CUSTOM SURVEY?

The Surcon JobPoll Employee Opinion Survey is a comprehensive anonymous standardized employee survey that is used by companies to maintain high levels of productivity and morale among their employees and to ensure the quality of their products or services for clients and customers. The survey results are "action oriented" and the process has been designed so that the survey can be completed and results returned to your company in three weeks. It is particularly helpful in understanding the factors in your company that will enhance employee satisfaction and productivity.

Every JobPoll Employee Survey contains a customized demographic section. In addition, you can add any number of items to your survey. The additional cost will vary depending on the number of questions that are added and the types of questions that are asked.

The eLink 360 Leadership Survey is a leadership assessment tool to help individuals become better leaders, managers, supervisors or to develop their leadership potential. It views one person's leadership style across different categories from the perspective of their boss, their peers and direct reports. These different perspectives give a more complete view of strengths and opportunities for development in leadership. eLink 360 is a web based on-line survey. The survey is administered over the Internet.

3 WHEN SHOULD AN eLINK 360 SURVEY BE CONDUCTED IN MY COMPANY?

  3. An individual would like to gain feedback on their leadership from different sources for personal development.

4 HOW DOES A COMPANY CONDUCT A eLINK 360 SURVEY?

The survey process includes the following steps:

  1. Survey Design: In consultation with Surcon, you decide on which leadership categories identified above will constitute the eLink 360 survey and then a custom 360 survey is designed for you for distribution
  2. Self-Assessment: The individual completes the eLink 360 instrument on-line assessing their own leadership style.
  3. Evaluator Assessment: The eLink programs distributes the 360 surveys to his/her boss, five peers, and five direct reports to assess his/her leadership style. All of these are also done on-line.
  4. Survey Analysis and Report: When all of the 360 surveys are completed a detailed report is prepared pinpointing leadership strengths and weaknesses as perceived by the participant manager's boss, peers, and direct reports across the leadership categories chosen. These reports are prepared by the web based program. They appear on-line and can then be printed.

1 WHAT IS A SURCON LEADERSHIP ASSESSMENT?

It is a means through which the manager can learn where their leadership strengths and weaknesses exist and in particular how their weaknesses can inhibit their ability to effectively lead in an organization. The assessment is used as part of a program of professional development Individual development plans are discussed and then implemented under the guidance of the organization.

2 HOW IS THE LEADERSHIP ASSESSMENT CONDUCTED?

The management assessment process typically covers five phases:

  1. Interviews and testing with management personnel by a trained psychologist who specializes in organizational behavior
  2. A job analysis to identify the expectations and duties of the manager's current job and potential other jobs
  3. Analysis of interviews and testing
  4. Reporting assessment findings to the individual manager
  5. Follow-up coaching, if necessary

3 WHAT KIND OF TESTING IS CONDUCTED IN THE ASSESSMENT?

Most assessments only require that the manager complete one or two personality surveys. These tools assist in identifying the match between the manager's skills abilities and interests and the job in which they currently work or the job for which they are being considered.

4 WHO WILL SEE THE FINAL REPORT?

In most cases, the Surcon consultant will only meet with the individual who is being reviewed.
